We're hiring an enthusiastic and dedicated Production Assistant to help the producing team with our lineup of shows for 2024’s Edinburgh Fringe.
As a Production Assistant, you'll be part of the producing team, helping to deliver a hugely exciting and varied range of shows at festival such as Sophie Duker, Paddy Young, Catherine Cohen, Celya AB, Paul Williams and Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
This is a role designed for those who live in or are from Edinburgh or the surrounding area, and as such applicants should live within easy commuting distance of Edinburgh.
This position is a brilliant hands-on introduction to working at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the wider arts scene. Our Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the company's producers and ensuring that all our Fringe shows go to plan. You'll be a friendly face on the team, and will happily grab a coffee for an act or jump on a bus to Ikea or Homebase if someones set or prop has fallen apart. You'll be quick thinking and a problem solver.
You might already have experience in show tech, marketing arts events, or producing your own student, amateur, or semi-professional shows - but no professional experience is necessary for this role! You only need to love comedy and the wider arts, be happy to get stuck in, and want to spend the summer at the world’s biggest arts festival!
No experience of the Fringe is necessary either, but it is preferable (as a punter or perhaps volunteering at a venue or working as a flyerer). As a role aimed at those who live in or are from Edinburgh or the surrounding area, local knowledge of the city is desirable.
